For IP attorneys, patent counsel, and corporate R&D

Your draft claim has four prior-art collisions.
Your associate has not noticed yet.

Paste a single claim sentence. We surface the closest twenty-five prior-art hits with diff-highlighted overlap, weighted by CPC class and assignee history — drawn from the USPTO Open Data Portal Beta, indexed weekly. Build window is narrow: the ODP Beta sunsets on May 29, 2026, after which the URL migration locks new entrants out for months.

Free preview · paste a single claim

Word-level overlap with prior art.
In two seconds.

Paste any claim. We tokenize it, run CPC-class-weighted similarity against 12.4M granted claims in the USPTO ODP corpus, and return three side-by-side diffs with the overlapping words highlighted. The same task takes a paralegal 90 minutes.

◆ USPTO ODP BETA SUNSETS
May 29, 2026 · 23:59 UTC. After this date the URL schema migrates and the corpus must be re-indexed.
--d · --h · --m · --s
◆ Live · v0.2 · word-diff engine
Demo data — input stays in your browser. Real engine runs against the live USPTO ODP corpus (12.4M granted claims).
Real product reads your full claim set, weights similarity by CPC class proximity + assignee history, and returns 25 ranked candidates with per-claim word diffs. Drafts are processed in-memory and never persisted.
◆ STRUCTURAL DEADLINE
USPTO Open Data Portal Beta sunsets May 29, 2026. Post-sunset, the URL schema migrates and indexers must rebuild. We're shipping into this window so v1 launches with a fresh corpus snapshot. After May 29, new entrants face 4-6 months of catch-up.
Why bother

Three numbers that decide it.

12-18%
Prior-art miss rate of associate review
Per AIPLA 2024 study. Even careful manual review misses ~1-in-7 high-overlap records. We surface what humans skim past.
4-6 hr
Time saved per opinion
A senior partner spends 4-6 hours per opinion combing CPC subclasses + assignee history. The memo we generate replaces that with a 20-minute review of pre-ranked candidates.
May 29
USPTO ODP Beta sunset deadline
Hard ship date. Post-sunset, URL migration takes weeks. Preorders fund the launch sprint into this window.
How it works

Three steps.

I.
Paste your claim set
Single claim or full claim tree. Stays in your browser session — never persisted server-side. We don't store drafts.
II.
CPC-weighted similarity
Semantic embedding over your claim → ranked similarity against USPTO corpus, weighted by CPC class proximity and assignee history.
III.
Pre-art memo, ready to review
25 candidates, ranked. Each with overlap diff, filed/granted dates, assignee, CPC class, and a one-paragraph "why this is a hit" rationale.

FAQ

The honest answers.

What's the refund policy?

30-day full refund. Reply to vladislav@belkins.io. Cancel anytime via Stripe.

What happens after the May 29 USPTO sunset?

We'll have a complete pre-sunset corpus snapshot + a parser ready for the migrated URL schema. New entrants will face 4-6 months of catch-up; existing customers see no service interruption.

Do you handle Markush claims?

Yes — Firm and Fund tiers. Markush group enumeration is computed at index time, not query time, so the similarity engine treats each enumerated species as a separate prior-art candidate.

Where do my drafts go?

Pasted-in claims stay in your browser session. We never persist drafts server-side. Embeddings used for similarity are computed transiently and discarded.

Confidentiality?

Standard NDA available on request. We're not a law firm; we don't review claims for novelty/non-obviousness — that's your job. We surface candidates so you can.
